How to charge a golf cart?
Important note: Correct way to charge; drive during day/ evening time and charge during the night. It takes about 10 hours to charge an empty battery to completely full.
DO NOT drive somewhere with a low battery and charge it at that location for a short time (for example 2 hours), chances are high you won’t make it back home and it would be bad for the battery.
Plug the cord into the electrical socket of your house. Connect the other side of the charger cable to the vehicle socket below the drivers seat. See pictures below for examples.
Check if the golf cart is properly charging. A yellow light should be blinking if the golf cart is charging. The light should be green when the charge is full.
Trouble Shooting Charging Problems
After connecting the charging cable to an electrical socket, no charging lights are visible.
First check if the cable is connected correctly on the vehicle side and the house socket side.
If cables are connected correctly, check if the electrical socket of your house is working correctly. To test this you can use your phone and a charging cable. If your phone does not starts charging, the socket is not working. Contact your house administrator to solve this issue.
Charging lights are on, but charge is still low after charging for hours.
Almost always this is because the charging time was to low. Charging can take up to 10 hours. If you are with a bigger travel group, it is possible that somebody used the cart after you connected the golf cart to the socket. That causes for less charging time and more battery usage. Before usage check if the chargers shows a green light or not.
